With some effort, gardening provides an opportunity to create beauty all around you.
I have a lot to learn, but I have learned so much. I became obsessed with Bougainvilleas many years ago. Their beauty and mystery drew me in. I've never had much luck with growing these plants. They were coy to bloom, stubborn and thorny. After losing many Bougies, I eventually realized it would take more than just luck to grow these magnificent plants. I began this Bougainvillea blog and off I went into the garden to try and try to get these beauties to form bountiful bracts. I can now say that I am learning! I am so excited, I'm beginning to feel the rythm of these plants. However, I do have much more to learn. I'm looking forward to the spring. But, it's fall ya'll and I need to start thinking about those few freeze days in Texas that could really damage my pink darlings. It's time to think about where I'll keep the big pots warm and safe. I'll make sure to keep them cozy this winter so that I can have another round of beauties in the spring. I'm hoping they will be the most beautiful yet.
